The Armenian Library and Archive in Germany: Meeting the challenges of the 21st century (photos)
This year UNESCO declared Yerevan as the World Book Capital, based on 500- year anniversary of Armenian printing (1512-2012). Meanwhile, the German-Armenians´ Central Council announced 2012 as the Armenian library and archive establishment year in Germany. Therefore, the Armenian communities and organizations will organize various events in honor of the jubilee year, and in sake of the establishment of the Armenian library and archive.  Of this series the first program realized the Hamburg-based "Kilikia" Youth Union presenting a literature evening dedicated to the well- known Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak in Leipzig on March 10.

No lack of students at newly opened “Hayartun” Cultural Center
After the declaration of independence, the greatest gift for Armenians living in Georgia, especially Tbilisi is the newly built “Hayartun” Cultural Center, which was dedicated to the Armenian community in Georgia in order to preserve the Armenian identity and provide Armenian education. The Center was provided to the community under the initiative of the Georgian-Armenian Diocese of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church, its Primate, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, under the patronage of the Russia-based Saakov family, as well as with support from a number of benevolent foundations and individual benefactors.

Dream became reality in the homeland
His life was made complete in August 2003 when he visited Yerevan in light of the Pan-Armenian Games. The 15-year old Cairo-Armenian was interested in studying at the local medical university, made a decision and reached his goal. Hrachya Liylozyan graduated from Armenia’s medical university this year.

School for Young Journalists of Diaspora Armenian Mass Media: first attempt and impressions
The three-week courses of the School for Young Journalists of Diaspora Armenian Mass Media are over. On July 14, the participants will defend their works on topics that they had previously selected and will receive their certificates during a solemn ceremony at the RA Ministry of Diaspora. The ceremony will be followed by a joint press conference with the young Diaspora Armenian journalists.
